SimpleTracking runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or newer (iOS 26 recommended for Apple Intelligence photo analysis). The companion app runs on Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or newer. iPad is supported via CloudKit sync.
No subscription is required to use the core features. All workouts, nutrition tracking, statistics and Apple Health sync are included.
Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in to iCloud, synced via Apple CloudKit between your own devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch). Photo analysis for meals runs entirely on-device using Apple Intelligence. We do not operate our own servers and do not share your data with third parties. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Resting energy is estimated using the Mifflin–St Jeor equation from your profile (age, weight, height, sex). The carbohydrate reference corridor is shown as a range of 45–55 % of total daily energy, in line with general healthy-eating guidance from the World Health Organization. Sources are linked in the app under Statistics → Nutrition and in Settings → Profile:
These values are general references for healthy adults and are not medical advice. If you have a medical condition (e.g. diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy), please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Please make sure location permission for SimpleTracking is set to "Always" in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → SimpleTracking, and that "Precise Location" is enabled. For Apple Watch workouts, GPS works best in open areas — tall buildings or dense forest can reduce accuracy.
Open Settings → Apps → Health → Data Access & Devices → SimpleTracking on your iPhone and make sure both read and write access are enabled for steps, workouts, active energy and any other category you want to share.
Inside the app, open Settings → Data to export workouts and food entries, or to permanently delete all data stored by SimpleTracking. CloudKit data is removed automatically when you delete your iCloud account or sign out from CloudKit in iOS.
Contests and teams can be joined via a code or an iMessage invitation link from the host. Tap the link or enter the code under Settings → Contests.
